The Maine Association for Marriage and Family Therapy ~ A division of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy
MEAMFT seeks the advancement of the profession and the practice of marriage and family therapy in the state of Maine. Toward this end, MEAMFT strives to promote the common professional interests of marriage and family therapists and marriage and family therapy practice in our state.
We currently have over 50 members and are always looking for new members to join and take part in the many ways that we are active. Our members provide services often referred to as marriage counseling, family counseling, couples counseling, and psychotherapy. Our members are mental health practitioners. Our membership is made up of LMFTs as well as LCPCs, LCSWs and others who practice with a system's approach to mental healthcare. MEAMFT holds a fall annual conference -- bringing quality trainings with respected professionals; granting continuing education units. In addition, our conferences and board meetings are a wonderful place to network and meet others practicing marriage and family therapy in Maine.

HOW WILL YOU VOTE?
This year members are asked to vote on the proposed restructure of AAMFT. Why is this important to you? Because it means the possible dissolution of state divisions. Find out more information under our "Restructuring AAMFT" tab at the top of this website and follow our quarterly eNewsletter!
